Ya found me... Yep, after over 11 years with the same website, I am changing things around a bit. Until I learn this new editing software this new site will be sort of simple and basic, like me.

AND for those that haven't met me, my name is Dennis Miles and I am the Smith here at Double Edge Forge. I do it all, from start to finish and then just pray some suc..uhh...customer buys the stuff. Why not grab a cold one and sit a spell, mebby grab that broom and do something for once. The shop really needs a good cleaning... Whattdaya say?

For you old timers, navigation is differnt here. Just click the button on the upper left of the page side to go where you want to go!

Double Edge Forge is permanently stuck in the mid eighteenth century, so all work is done by me, by hand, in the proper fashion. No modern methods are utilized. Knives and accouterments are constructed of period materials and methods.

All of my items are guaranteed for life, yours or mine, whichever ends FIRST.

The shop was featured in an article in the July/Aug.2001 issue of Muzzleloader Magazine in a article penned by Kate Johnson. Also it has been in several issues of Backwoodsman .
I also was the primary armoror for the Mirimax/Scorcese movie, "GANGS OF NEW YORK", if a primary star carried it, the piece was made by me.
There is also a few pics of my work in the Dec.2003 issue of Muzzle Blasts by John Curry. My work is included in a feature article in the NOV. 2005 issue of Tactical Knives Magazine and my Hudson Bay Camp Knife will also be in the survival column, pages 36-37 in the Nov. 2008 issue of Tactical Knives

Enough bragging, on with the show

Click the FIRE below or on "KNIVES" to the left and you will find a few examples of my work. Most all of my work is based on historical descriptions and reference photos of originals. I also will do custom work from your ideas.

Keep checking back to the site occasionally. I change the Knives nearly weekly and you NEVER KNOW what will show up here, as stock is always changing and so is my mood...
